Job_Description":" LightMetrics is looking for a data scientist (Bangalore based). While LightMetrics prides itself on ML and AI, this will be the first data science hire in LightMetrics. With LightMetrics having driving data for billions of miles, this role is a dream job for a data scientist there is already a lot of data. This role primarily will involve answering questions with data. This is a great opportunity to see your strategy, vision and execution set the tone for the data science department of a fast-growing, well-run company. LightMetrics is already well known in the transportation and video telematics space for their products and services as a data scientist, you get to take the offerings to the next level moving from data to prescriptive analytics. Less data, more action with clear, unambiguous recommendations to fleets and drivers on what they need to do to hit their KPIs. You will work very closely with our AI/ML, cloud engineering and product teams in this role. Requirements Responsibilities: - Work with product management to come up with questions that need to be answered and hypotheses that need to be verified - Collaborate with other functions to come up with data driven solutions for challenges encountered - Be able to build pipelines and frameworks for data ingestion, data processing, data transformations at scale - Employ advanced statistical techniques to analyze, understand the data, and identify trends, anomalies, etc. - Communicate the findings clearly through good visualizations as well as written reports Minimum requirements for the role: - 3+ yearsexperience in data science or machine learning - Tech degree engineering or mathematics (statistics, etc.) - Exceptional programming skills with strong computer science concepts (data structures and algorithms) - Strong analytical skills - Demonstrable expertise in a similar role - Strong storytelling and presentation skills - Experience with Tableau, PowerBI, Graphana, etc. - Attention to detail, but have a clear big picture thinking also - High agency not wait for ideal circumstances to get a job done, instead strive and create the circumstances yourself! 1. User Research Strategy a. Conduct user interviews, surveys, and usability tests to gather insights. b. Synthesize research findings into actionable design strategies and personas. c. Leverage data analysis to inform user-centric design decisions. 2. Design Development a. Design wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI using tools like Figma and Framer. b. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, and marketing) to create and refine workflows. c. Maintain and enhance design systems for consistency across digital platforms. d.
