Job Description Linux administrators are back-end IT specialists who install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems in a variety of organizations. This role involves server-side operations and troubleshooting tasks that support business-critical and development activities. Linux administrators also configure user access and monitor system stability and security through deployment and everyday use.This role requires extensive familiarity with Linux systems and servers and may involve a high level of risk assessment and user support. Because Linux is an open-source operating system, administrators also frequently communicate and collaborate with other developers to develop and implement system enhancements. Technology/ Function: DC Modernization and Virtualization Standalone, Cluster and Cloud Windows Server, Unix , SUSE and Other Unix Flavour Hybrid Cloud Integration Must be knowledgeable with scripting and Database integrations Must have IMPLEMENTED at least one cluster setup Key Responsibilities: Develop Solution as per RFP/Tender Terms Should be able to implement LINUX, SUSE OS in stand Alone and Cluster Environments Key skills/competencies: 7-8 years of experience in IT services with at least 5 years of experience in handling and implementing Linux solutions. Strong Administration knowledge. On prem and Cloud Implementation Must have broad background and deep experience with the following area: Data Center virtualization technologies (compute, networking, and storage) Design and deployment of Technologies Strong presentation and articulate, demonstrate the value proposition to the customer Very strong design and development experience Must be able to work independently to run the POC’s / New Technology evaluation /RFP’s Developing HA and DR solution in DC Area DC Migration from on Prem to Cloud Experience of deployment in standalone and cluster setup/ Should have experience for implementation of Red hat including LDAP and integration with Microsoft Active directory Should have experience of implementing Redhat cluster Should have experience of implementing of linux virtualization KVM Should be able to implement of single sign On Should be able to integrate with multifactor authentication Should have knowledge of container implementation Good knowledge in: New services offerings on Technologies evaluation General understanding of databases including Microsoft SQL* and MySQL* Basic analytical and problem-solving skills. Linux/UNIX operating systems (Ubuntu, Fedora, Debian) Web server technologies (DNS, Apache, NGINX) Qualification: BE/B-Tech/BCA/MCA/BSc-IT/BCA Certification: Recent RHEL Certifications
