Job Description

We are seeking a Linux Porting / Linux Device Driver Developer with 3+ years of experience in setting up Linux kernel build environments, BSP (Board Support Package), and developing device drivers for embedded systems. Work closely with hardware teams to port Linux onto various platforms and ensure efficient device driver integration. Job Location: Kochi, Bangalore Job Type: Contract (6 Months) Extendable Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field Note: Occasional Visits to Bangalore or Cochin office Key Responsibilities: Linux Kernel & BSP Setup: Configure and set up Linux kernel build environments for embedded platforms. Port Linux kernels to hardware platforms and integrate with BSP. Device Driver Development: Develop and maintain device drivers for peripherals such as storage, network, and I/O devices. Debug and troubleshoot driver issues in kernel space. Kernel Space Programming: Write kernel code to interface with hardware, manage memory, handle interrupts, and implement I/O operations. Kernel Build & Configuration: Manage the kernel build process and optimize it for different hardware systems. Collaboration & Troubleshooting: Work with hardware engineers and other software teams to resolve issues. Provide ongoing support and bug fixes for drivers and kernel modules. Required Skills: 3+ years of experience in setting up Linux kernel and BSP build environments. Proven background in Linux kernel space development, device driver creation, and low-level system programming. Proficient in C programming with strong knowledge of Linux kernel internals. Hands-on experience with kernel modules, interrupt handling, memory management, and I/O subsystems. Familiar with cross-compilation for embedded systems. Debugging experience with tools like GDB, printk, and kernel tracing. Knowledge of hardware architectures (ARM, x86) and Linux device driver frameworks (I2C, SPI, USB).
