Preparing freight comparisions and presenting to Price Panel team for further negotiation Planning dispatches from the plant as per the vessel schedule and taking bookings accordingly from the shipping line. Coordination between production team, surface transportation, and forwarders/shipping Lines and to plan dispatches of vehicles. Arranging the third party inspection as per country requirement. Arranging weekly logistics meeting to address critical issues and to check targets. Resolving interdepartmental issues and disputes with external agencies. Interface between the organization and Customs of India for export related activities. Banks for foreign inward remittances, letter of credit and proof of exports. Maintaining MIS: Daily Dispatch Report, FIRC Report, Export Incentives Report and Logistics Report. Resolving issues related to bills from logistics vendors and arranging management approval or rejecting exceptions. SUPERVISION Managing 3WH, 4WH and Spare parts logistics and inspection Shipping line/forwarder/CHA coordination Shipping documents check Bank related activities Compliance and Incentives Skills Needed : Strong negotiation and collaborative skills Man Management Efficiently handle his team for pre-shipment, post shipment and incentivization work Coordination / good interdepartmental skills coordination required between internal stakeholders and external stakeholders Familiarity with export regulations and documentation. Have Strategic level thinking for creating SCM function into a competitive edge for shipments Effectively handle third part dealings like inspections etc International logistics experience a must
