Job Summary: The Logistics Manager will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day logistics operations involving leased vehicles. This includes managing vehicle partners, optimizing delivery routes, monitoring cost efficiency, ensuring compliance, and aligning fleet operations with customer delivery expectations. The ideal candidate will have experience in logistics management in a high-growth environment, preferably within the D2C or e-commerce sector. Key Responsibilities: 1. Fleet Management (Leased Vehicles): Identify, onboard, and manage third-party vehicle vendors for delivery operations. Negotiate the prices and maintain lease agreements with fleet owners / 3PL companies. Ensure vehicles meet compliance, insurance, and safety standards. Monitor vehicle availability, utilization, and downtime on a daily / weekly / monthly level. 2. Operations & Execution: Plan and coordinate pan-india dispatches ensuring timely vehicle availability for LM deliveries. Collaborate with the warehouse and fulfillment teams to align no. of vehicles in each city. 3. Cost Optimization & Vendor Management: Track and control logistics costs related to leased vehicle operations. Regularly review vendor performance against SLAs (delivery time, cost, vehicle condition). Build scalable processes to handle peak load during high-demand periods. 4. Technology & Reporting: Leverage routing and delivery management tools (TMS, GPS tracking, etc.). Maintain dashboards and reports for delivery KPIs. Analyze logistics data to identify trends and improvement opportunities. 5. Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to transportation laws, vehicle documentation, and safety protocols. Conduct regular audits of leased fleet operations and vendor compliance. 6. Billing & Payments: Manage end-to-end billing and payment processes for all logistics vendors. Verify and validate vendor invoices against contract terms, delivery logs, and actual vehicle usage. Resolve billing discrepancies or disputes in coordination with vendors and operations teams. Maintain accurate records of all payments, dues, and financial commitments related to leased fleet operations. Liaise with the Finance team to ensure timely disbursement of payments and reconciliation. Key Requirements: Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field. 4–7 years of experience in logistics/fleet management, preferably in a D2C/e-commerce company. Strong understanding of leased vehicle operations and vendor negotiation. Proficiency in logistics software/tools and route planning systems. Excellent communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
