Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Safety Auditor to conduct comprehensive audits of manufacturing industries across India. The role involves ensuring that machines are operating safely and functioning as intended, verifying compliance with applicable safety standards and regulations, and identifying design or operational issues that may pose risks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial machinery, safety protocols, and compliance frameworks. Key Responsibilities Conduct Machine Safety Audits: Perform detailed onsite inspections of manufacturing machinery to assess operational safety and compliance with national and international safety standards (e.g., ISO, OSHA, or BIS standards). Evaluate machine functionality and operational reliability. Compliance Verification: Verify adherence to safety guidelines, statutory requirements, and regulatory frameworks. Check for compliance with safety signage, interlocks, guarding mechanisms, emergency stop systems, and other critical safety features. Risk Identification and Reporting: Identify design flaws, hazards, or operational issues that could compromise safety. Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting findings, non-compliance, and recommendations for corrective actions. Collaboration and Consultation: Work closely with plant managers, engineers, and safety officers to discuss findings and propose actionable solutions. Provide guidance on implementing corrective measures and improving safety standards. Training and Awareness: Conduct training sessions and workshops for personnel to enhance awareness of machine safety standards and best practices. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and updates in safety standards and regulations. Contribute to the development of internal auditing tools and processes to improve audit efficiency. Qualifications Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Certification in machine safety or industrial safety (e.g., NEBOSH, CE Marking, TV Functional Safety) is a plus. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience (post Bachelor's Degree) in industrial machine safety auditing. Familiarity with Indian safety regulations and global safety standards. Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication for report writing and stakeholder interaction. Ability to interpret technical documents, schematics, and safety standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and auditing software/tools.
