Currently, we seek an experienced Mainframe Production Control/Operations Specialist to manage and monitor mainframe systems, job scheduling, system health checks, and disaster recovery processes. The ideal candidate will have deep Omegamon, IWS, and Jobtrac expertise, ensuring seamless operations and adherence to standard procedures. This role requires proactive problem-solving skills, vendor coordination, and the ability to support IPL processes. Key Responsibilities: Mainframe System Monitoring & Health Checks Utilize Omegamon for real-time system performance monitoring and troubleshooting. Conduct proactive system health checks and take preventive actions. Job Scheduling & Workflow Management Modify and manage job schedules using the IWS Scheduling Tool and Jobtrac. Ensure efficient workload automation and job execution. Incident Management & Disaster Recovery Support Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and execution to ensure system resilience. Engage with hardware vendors for system maintenance and troubleshooting. Operational Excellence & Compliance Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Mainframe Operations Best Practices. Ensure timely resolution of production issues and minimize downtime. IPL (Initial Program Load) Support Manage IPL processes for IBM mainframe systems and provide necessary operational support. Collaboration & Vendor Engagement Work closely with cross-functional teams, offshore/onshore teams, and hardware vendors. Required Qualifications: 10+ years of relevant experience, focusing on Production & Operations Control in a Mainframe environment. Proven leadership experience or ability to lead and guide team members in high-pressure environments. Availability to support on-call rotations or shift-based work as needed. Key Technical Skills & Tools: Omegamon: Expertise in system performance monitoring and issue resolution. IWS Scheduling Tool: Proficiency in job modification and scheduling automation. Jobtrac: Hands-on experience with job tracking and workflow management. System Health Checks & Proactive Actions: Ability to perform regular system health checks and proactively address operational risks. Disaster Recovery: Experience in disaster recovery planning and execution. Hardware Vendor Engagement: Coordinating with hardware vendors for issue resolution and system optimization. Operational Processes & Standard Operating Procedures: Adherence to best practices and defined SOPs for seamless operations. IPL (Initial Program Load) Expertise: Strong understanding of IPL procedure Benefits: Health Insurance, Accident Insurance. Additional Responsibilities: Participate in OP monthly team meetings, and participate in team-building efforts. Contribute to OP technical discussions, peer reviews, etc. Contribute content and collaborate via the OP-Wiki/Knowledge Base. Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested.
