Job Description We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer/Specialist who will be responsible for providing maintenance and engineering support for small to medium-sized manufacturing plants. As the process equipment electrical and instrumentation expert, this role ensures the safe and efficient operation of plant equipment while driving reliability improvements and compliance with applicable standards. Skill / Qualifications Bachelors degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 5-6 years of experience, with at least 5 years in an engineering role. Experience in the plastic compounding industry is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of Siemens PLC, HMI, TIA Portal, and industrial automation systems. Hands-on experience with electrical and instrumentation maintenance in a manufacturing setup. Familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Preferred Skills: Expertise in preventive and predictive maintenance strategies. Proficiency in analyzing and optimizing plant maintenance operations. Experience in managing budgets and capital projects. Knowledge of energy efficiency and sustainability practices in manufacturing Job Responsibilities Ensure the safe execution of all maintenance and project work. Provide direction to the maintenance team to achieve plant objectives. Establish and uphold standards for equipment reliability and continuous improvement. Oversee daily instrumentation and electrical (I&E) maintenance activities. Ensure compliance with contractual agreements related to site operations. Implement and maintain an e-maintenance system. Develop and enforce preventive maintenance (PM) and calibration schedules. Analyze and resolve recurring instrumentation, electrical, and mechanical issues. Recommend new equipment and preventative techniques to enhance reliability. Provide expertise in PLC installation, programming, and troubleshooting (Siemens PLC, HMI, Siemens TIA Portal). Work with programmable relays and PID controllers. Enhance maintenance team knowledge and skillset through training initiatives. Assist maintenance personnel in emergency situations. Manage capital projects from inception to completion. Oversee and approve work performed by external contractors. Manage maintenance and capital expenditure budgets. Ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations for maintenance and project work. Technical Responsibilities: Diagnose and resolve faults in electrical systems. Maintain HT/LT lines, transformers, PCC/MCC panels, and circuit breakers. Conduct VFD maintenance and troubleshooting. Perform power quality studies and energy audits. Maintain and troubleshoot diesel generators. Manage low-voltage control wiring and debugging. Program and debug AC/DC drives. Ensure adherence to local industrial electrical codes and oversee electrical inspections. Implement and enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
