Job Description

Job Title: Assembly PLC Engineer. We are seeking a skilled Assembly PLC Engineer to support automated manufacturing and assembly processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in PLC programming, troubleshooting automation systems, and ensuring optimal machine performance in a production environment. PLC Programming & Troubleshooting: Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, etc.) to optimize assembly line automation. HMI & SCADA Development: Configure Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems for efficient operator control. Machine Maintenance & Optimization: Diagnose and resolve issues with automated machinery, sensors, actuators, and control systems to minimize downtime. Integration of Equipment: Work with robotics, conveyors, and other automated systems to ensure seamless assembly line operations. Electrical & Control System Support: Maintain and troubleshoot control panels, wiring, and motor controls. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance production efficiency, reduce cycle times, and improve product quality through automation adjustments. Documentation & Compliance: Maintain records of PLC programs, changes, and electrical schematics, ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards. Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, maintenance teams, and operators to support production goals. Technical Skills: Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron, etc.). Experience with HMI and SCADA software. Knowledge of electrical schematics, sensors, actuators, and motor controls. Understanding of industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Modbus, etc.). Basic knowledge of robotics (Fanuc, ABB, Kuka) is a plus. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities. Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines. Good communication and teamwork skills. Willingness to work flexible hours if needed. Work Environment: Manufacturing/assembly plant setting with exposure to automated equipment. Requires standing, bending, and occasionally lifting heavy components. May require working on shifts or during planned maintenance shutdowns.
