Maintenance Engineer

Job Description

Carry out routine preventive and corrective maintenance of plant equipment and utilities. Troubleshoot and repair CNC machines , hydraulic/pneumatic punching & bending machines , and welding equipment . Maintain and service powder coating booths , ovens, and related systems to ensure consistent coating quality and minimize downtime. Oversee the operation and maintenance of EOT (Electric Overhead Traveling) cranes , ensuring compliance with safety standards and smooth handling operations. Perform regular checks, maintenance, and emergency repairs on diesel generators and electrical panels. Support installation and commissioning of new machines and systems. Monitor and update maintenance records using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) or manual logs. Implement energy-saving and efficiency improvement initiatives. Ensure availability of critical spares and coordinate procurement as needed. Adhere to plant safety protocols and ensure machinery complies with regulatory standards. Coordinate with production and quality teams to align maintenance activities with production needs. Required Qualifications and Skills: Degree or Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering . 3 to 7 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing plant environment. Strong knowledge of: CNC machining centers Hydraulic and pneumatic systems Punching and bending machines Powder coating equipment EOT cranes Welding machines (MIG, TIG, Arc) Diesel generators and basic electrical systems Ability to read and interpret machine drawings, electrical schematics, and service manuals. Familiar with safety regulations and statutory compliance for equipment. Working knowledge of MS Office, CMMS tools, and condition monitoring techniques. Good communication and team collaboration skills.
