Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Job Summary:- We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician/Engineer with comprehensive knowledge of electrical and electronic systems, specifically tailored to the requirements of a flexible packaging manufacturing environment. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading electrical and electronic systems on machinery such as extrusion, printing, lamination, slitting, and pouching machines. Key Responsibilities:- Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on all plant electrical and electronic equipment. · Diagnose faults and repair electrical/electronic issues in high-speed packaging machines, PLCs, drives, HMIs, sensors, servo motors, etc. · Maintain and calibrate instrumentation, control systems, and automation panels. · Troubleshoot and program PLC (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Delta, etc.) and HMI interfaces. · Ensure proper functioning of VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), soft starters, and control panels. · Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and manuals for machinery and equipment. · Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and electrical panels. · Ensure compliance with safety regulations and electrical codes. · Maintain maintenance logs, downtime records, and work order documentation. · Coordinate with production and other departments for timely equipment availability. · Support energy efficiency and cost-reduction initiatives through automation or electrical improvements. · Train junior technicians on electrical systems and safety protocols. · Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is a plus. · Ability to work independently under pressure and respond to breakdowns quickly. · Strong troubleshooting skills and a systematic approach to maintenance issues. · Excellent understanding of electrical safety, lockout/tagout procedures, and risk assessments. · Willingness to work in shifts and on-call for emergency maintenance. Preferred Certifications:- Electrical Supervisor License (if required by local regulations) · Certification in PLC programming or industrial automation · HSE or OSHA safety training certification
