Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Must have extensive knowledge and minimum 7 years demonstrated experience with the following: Routing protocols (including but not limited to OSPF/BGP in a service provider network) BGP, IBGP, EBGP, BGP route reflectors, BGP confederations complex multi-provider peering Switching (including but not limited to STP, VLAN Trunking (802.1q), LACP, QinQ) Cisco products like the ASR9006 to 9922, 31128, 93180 Cisco IOS, IOSXR and Nexus experience required. Service Provider technologies like HSRP, MPLS, QOS MOP execution and demonstrated ability to perform Maintenance Window Events Ability to work under minimal supervision while performing network engineering level functions, such as basic and advanced network analysis and troubleshooting, in support of Service Provider networks. Tel: 214.857.6100 Fax: 214.857.6500 999 Metromedia Place Dallas, Texas 75247 Proficient in creating basic and advanced network layout and design with strong implementation skills in a Service Provider network Ability to create and execute Method of Procedures (MOP) and configuration templates for integration of new services or equipment for Service Provider customers Must have extensive knowledge and experience understanding industry best practice on network architecture and engineering Experienced in robust network, product/service, system design and implementation strategies Willing to interface with various levels of employees, mentoring less senior engineering staff and providing reports to support management Must have verifiable experience working in a Service Provider environment (either directly or via vendors) Must have at least one of the following certifications: CCNP/CCNP-SP or relevant experience. Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field Experience: 7-10yrs Preferred knowledge, skills, and abilities: Provide engineering assistance in the Service Provider Wireless Carrier space (specializing in Cisco equipment) Serve as the SME within Services and Technical aspects of Service Provider networks (SP Architectures, IP/MPLS, LTE/IMS, IPv6, IP NGN, Cloud etc.) During implementation, the PSE works on the Maintenance Window Team deploying equipment, verifying the maintenance went well, and performs validation testing.
