Key Responsibilities: Budget Planning and Management: Prepare and manage detailed project budgets for water supply, irrigation, civil construction, and infrastructure projects. Develop cost estimates and ensure alignment with project objectives and timelines. Rate Analysis: Conduct comprehensive rate analysis for materials, labor, and equipment considering site conditions and project-specific tender requirements. Ensure accuracy in rate analysis to support tender submissions and cost control. Tender Analysis and Support: Evaluate tender documents, identify critical cost components, and align project budgets accordingly. Collaborate with the tendering team to ensure competitive and realistic pricing strategies. Site Assessment and Resource Allocation: Visit project sites to assess local conditions, resource availability, and logistical challenges impacting budgetary requirements. Optimize resource allocation to minimize costs while maintaining quality standards. Cost Control and Monitoring: Monitor ongoing project costs against the approved budget to identify variances and recommend corrective actions. Implement systems for tracking expenses and ensuring compliance with budgetary constraints. Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with project managers, procurement teams, and site engineers to ensure smooth budgetary operations. Coordinate with clients to address budget-related queries and provide timely updates on financial progress. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed financial reports, including budget utilization, cost forecasts, and variance analysis. Maintain accurate records of all budget-related activities for audit and compliance purposes. Key Skills and Qualifications: Education: Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. Advanced certifications in Construction Management or Budgeting are a plus. Experience: Minimum 8 10 years of experience in budget preparation and management for civil construction, water supply, or infrastructure projects. Technical Skills: Proficient in rate analysis, cost estimation, and budget planning. Strong understanding of civil construction processes and project lifecycles. Knowledge of construction contracts, tendering processes, and site conditions in India. Software Proficiency: Familiarity with project management and estimation software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project, AutoCAD, or SAP). Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling and analysis. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder coordination. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
