Role Overview The Assistant Manager - Finance and Accounting will be responsible for supporting the finance team in managing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and optimizing the companys financial health. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work cross-functionally to support business growth. WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR Financial Reporting : Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting principles and regulatory requirements. Accounting Operations : Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, and posting to the general ledger. Cash Flow Management : Assist in monitoring cash flow, managing working capital, and ensuring the availability of funds for operational needs. Budgeting Forecasting : Support the preparation and management of budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring alignment with business goals. Tax Compliance : Ensure timely and accurate filing of taxes, including GST, TDS, and other statutory taxes, and coordinate with tax consultants. Audit Coordination : Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to audit queries. Accounts Payable Receivable : Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections. Financial Analysis : Conduct variance analysis, provide insights into financial performance, and suggest areas for improvement to senior management. Vendor Stakeholder Coordination : Work with vendors, financial institutions, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations. Process Improvement : Continuously review and suggest improvements to accounting processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. WHO YOU ARE Experience : 3+ years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably in a fast-paced D2C or e-commerce environment. Technical Skills : Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks) and MS Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus. Analytical Thinking : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external partners. Time Management : Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines. Adaptable : Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with changing priorities and requirements. Ethics Integrity : Strong ethical standards and the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial data. Team Player : A collaborative mindset, with a focus on working together to achieve the company s financial goals. Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional certifications such as CA (Inter), CMA, or CPA are a plus. Proven experience in handling accounts, financial reporting, and compliance in a growing business environment. Strong understanding of Indian accounting principles, taxation, and legal requirements. Knowledge of GST, TDS, and other relevant statutory requirements. Experience in handling audits, both internal and external, with the ability to manage documentation and queries efficiently.
