Job Description

Looking for incumbents having experience in in packaging design, development, and implementation within FMCG, Food & Beverage, or Consumer Goods industries. Key Responsibilities: Packaging Development: Design and develop packaging solutions that align with product requirements, consumer preferences, and brand guidelines. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure the feasibility and functionality of designs. Material Selection & Cost Optimization: Evaluate and recommend suitable packaging materials, such as plastics, paper, or glass, based on product protection and cost considerations. Drive cost optimization initiatives without compromising quality or performance. Project Coordination: Manage medium-to-large packaging projects, coordinating with R&D, marketing, procurement, and production teams to meet deadlines and quality standards. Ensure smooth execution of packaging changes during product launches or redesigns. Quality Control & Testing: Conduct packaging performance tests during project evaluations. Identify and resolve any packaging issues or defects through root cause analysis. Sustainability Initiatives: Contribute to sustainability goals by exploring eco-friendly materials and designs. Implement light weighting, recyclability, and biodegradability practices in packaging solutions. Vendor & Supplier Collaboration: Work closely with packaging suppliers to source materials, develop prototypes, and ensure timely deliveries. Perform supplier evaluations and audits to maintain quality standards. Compliance & Documentation: Ensure packaging meets industry and regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, ISO). Maintain detailed records of packaging specifications, testing reports, and approvals. Innovation & Trend Monitoring: Stay updated on emerging packaging technologies and market trends. Incorporate innovative designs and technologies to enhance product appeal and functionality. Skills and Competencies: Strong understanding of packaging materials, machinery, and sustainability principles. Effective communication and project management skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Analytical mindset for problem-solving and quality improvement initiatives. Attention to detail and organizational skills for managing multiple projects. Educational Qualification: Bachelors degree in Packaging Technology.
