Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW Design & Development of Current Products variants of Tipper bodies and solutions and co-ordination with Plant for engineering support for Tipper body production of new variants. MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Preparation of Techno-commercial proposal for tipper variants and solutions Co-ordination with Application Engg for detail information of new variants Preparation of GA drawing and packaging data for customer approval Technical calculations Axle load distribution, stability calculations Co-ordination with CFT (SCM, Operations, QA) for procurement, manufacturing feasibility studies Hydraulic kit selection and integration Engg. Support to Application engineering with regard to execution from plant Preparation of estimated BOM for costing team for commercial quote calculation Preparation and Release of manufacturing data Prepare 3D models and 2D engineering drawings using Autodesk Vault. Preparation of Production BOM in ERP (Infor LN) with the help of Production engineers Co-ordination with plant team for Prototype manufacturing progress and resolving issues observed during production. Support plants during prototype development / inspection Preparation of Spare part manuals Engineering Change Management Study of Engineering change requirements and Preparation of ECO and release to plants and CFT for review Release of ECN and update ERP BOM Periodic monitoring of open ECNs and track their implementation NPD/SPD Projects Work with NPD/SPD team for variant creation or issue resolutions Support on VAVE/ should costing/standardization of current tipper bodies Site visits for performance study of product / field support RELATIONS Internal: Plants (Mumbai, Pune,) Application Engineering Team SCM, Prcourement Operations Team After-service Team Finance/Costing Team External: Customers/OEM Suppliers/Vendors
