JOB DESCRIPTION Position Title Manager - R&D Reports To Deputy General Manager - R&D Qualification Diploma/BTech Electronics Engineering, or a related field. Work 5 - 6 Years Experience Lead the development of new products from concept to launch. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with market needs and company goals. Conduct feasibility studies and market research to inform product strategies. Identify and implement cost-saving measures in R&D processes without compromising quality. Analyse current product costs and suggest improvements to enhance profitability. Primary Duties Oversee the analysis of customer complaints related to products. Develop action plans to address issues and improve product performance based on feedback. Manage a team of R&D professionals, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment that encourages creativity and problem-solving Work closely with marketing, production, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless integration of R&D initiatives. Act as a liaison between departments to facilitate communication and collaboration on projects. Attend departmental meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and strategic direction. Present findings and updates from R&D activities to senior management. Prepare daily reports summarizing R&D activities, project progress, and any challenges faced. Secondary Duties Generate weekly reports for the HOD detailing team performance, project updates, and strategic recommendations. Compile monthly reports that provide an overview of departmental achievements, budget adherence, and future objectives. Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events to promote products and network with potential clients. Minimum of 5 years of experience in R&D management or a related role. Ability to think critically and solve complex problems creatively. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Proficient in generating reports and presenting data. Project management expertise with proficiency in relevant software tools. Skills Required Strong understanding of product development processes and methodologies. Strong leadership skills with experience in managing diverse teams. Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration across departments.
