About the Job Who we are and what do we do NPST is a fintech company bridging the banking and fintech worlds with its product suite of technology and payments, for over 10 years. We provide software and digital payment solutions to the BFSI Industry as a Technology service provider. We function as a Technology Service Provider (TSP) and a Third-Party Aggregator Provider (TPAP), catering to stakeholders across the financial value chain, including banks, merchant aggregators, merchants, and consumers. We got listed targeting SME IPO in Aug 2021 on the NSE Emerge platform with a market cap of 2000 Cr (as of Mar24) and became NPCI- an approved Merchant Payment Service Provider, acquiring merchants and facilitating payment. NPST has a marquee clientele having 10 Banks and 30+ PAPG and Merchants. What will you do The ideal candidate will take ownership of ensuring regulatory compliance, overseeing risk management strategies, and implementing robust onboarding and transaction monitoring processes to uphold NPSTs financial and operational integrity. Job responsibilities: Merchant Onboarding: Review merchant onboarding reports to ensure KYC documentation complies with NPST policy. Verify merchant websites align with the agreed business lines and perform due diligence through comprehensive website scans. Confirm merchant credentials (email, phone, website, business address) through social media reviews. Database Checks: Ensure merchants are not listed in PEP, Sanction, Grey, or Blacklisted databases. Validate bank accounts via Penny Drop Testing in India, and place MID/SID on hold if discrepancies are found until clarifications are received. Monitor and validate GST Certificates post-onboarding. Chargeback Management: Maintain and report chargeback cases to the respective MID/SID within defined turnaround times. Report chargeback cases to banking partners with necessary documentation. Track, monitor, and prevent chargebacks, fraud, and UPI disputes, providing guidance to merchants throughout the process. Generate detailed chargeback reports (daily, weekly, monthly) and manage sales-to-chargeback and fraud-to-sales ratios in MTD reports. Compliance & Monitoring: Conduct regular web-compliance checks for onboarded merchants and track suspicious transactions. Respond to inquiries from Cyber/LEA agencies and manage GST escalations effectively. Process Enhancement: Identify areas for process improvement and automation to enhance efficiency. Develop and conduct training programs for the team to improve risk and compliance skills. Collaborate with Onboarding, Reconciliation, and other internal departments to identify risks and ensure compliance with all policies. Dispute Resolution & External Coordination: Act as Nodal Officer for all disputes and compliance-related queries. Coordinate with Banks, NPCI, and Payment Aggregators to ensure NPST adheres to current policies. Liaise with the Banking Ombudsman and Cyber Crime departments for issue resolution What are we looking for: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in risk analysis, transaction monitoring, and chargeback processes. Proven experience in writing SOPs and policies, with a background in coordinating with Banks, NPCI, Payment Aggregators, Banking Ombudsman, and Cyber Crime departments. Demonstrated integrity, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. High attention to detail, strong ability to follow processes, and the capacity to read between the lines. Familiarity with KYC procedures and regulatory compliance. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain integrity and impartiality in all tasks. Entrepreneurial skills, ability to observe, innovate, and own your work. Detail-oriented and organized with strong time management skills. Influencing skills and the ability to create positive working relationships with team members at all levels. Collaborative approach and work with perfection as a group effort to achieve organizational goals. Education Qualification - Graduate Experience - Total Experience: 10- 15 years Industry - PA/PG/Fintech Work arrangement – Normal business hours as per NPST policy, with the team on standby 24/7 for critical escalations and business requirements.
