Job Description 1. Help in Product Development and Innovation Responsible for new seed varieties identification from concept to market launch. Collaborate with breeding, RD, marketing and production teams to design, test, and refine seed products with improved agronomic traits (e.g., drought tolerance, pest resistance). 2. Market Research and Demand Analysis Conduct market research to identify industry trends, grower requirements, and gaps in existing product offerings. Analyze competitor products to ensure differentiation and superior value in new seed varieties. Partner with marketing and sales teams to align new product offerings with evolving market demand. 3. Project Management Help to develop and manage project plans for each stage of the seed product development lifecycle, including setting timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. Help to coordinate field trials and product performance testing to ensure successful outcomes, adjusting strategies based on findings. 4. Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance Ensure all new seed products meet regulatory and quality standards/ benchmarks. Work with regulatory teams to obtain necessary approvals for new varieties and stay current with agricultural regulations. Oversee quality testing and validation processes, ensuring seeds meet performance specifications. 5. Cross-functional Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement Act as the primary liaison between RD, production, sales, and marketing teams including senior management to ensure successful product launches. Engage with external stakeholders, including farmers, distributors, and research institutions, to gather feedback and refine products. Help to develop relationships with external entities for collaboration on advanced research and technology opportunities. 6. Performance Monitoring and Continuous Improvement Track and analyze the performance of new seed products in the market, gathering insights from growers and stakeholders. Use performance data to assess success and identify potential areas for improvement or future development. Help to continuously refine and optimize the NPD process to streamline product development and improve outcomes. 7. Budget and Resource Management Manage budgets for product development projects, ensuring efficient use of resources. Plan resource needs such as field trial sites, technical support, and lab equipment to meet project requirements. Qualifications/Experience : Education : Master s degree/ PhD in Agronomy /Plant Breeding. Technical Expertise : Strong knowledge of plant breeding, agronomy and crop development processes. Project Management : Proven experience in leading and managing projects, with skills in planning, organizing, and coordinating cross-functional teams. Communication Analytical Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders. Proficient in data analysis for product performance evaluation and decision-making.
