Manager - Solar Project

Job Description

Role Overview: This person will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of megawatt-scale solar power projects , including civil, electrical, and mechanical installations, ROW clearance, material management, and power evacuation . The role requires expertise in site management, stakeholder coordination, compliance, and timely project completion . Key Responsibilities: 1. Project Execution & Site Management: Lead and manage the complete installation of ground-mounted solar power plants , ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders for smooth project execution. 2. Civil & Structural Works: Oversee site preparation, grading, foundation construction, road access, and drainage systems . Ensure compliance with engineering and environmental standards . 3. Electrical System Installation & Grid Integration: Supervise the installation of DC/AC cabling, inverters, transformers, and switchgear . Ensure seamless grid connection and power evacuation while coordinating with utility providers. 4. Mechanical Mounting Systems (MMS): Oversee the installation of solar panel mounting structures and tracking systems (if applicable). Ensure alignment and durability of structures against environmental conditions. 5. ROW & Land Access Management: Secure ROW clearances for land, utilities, and power evacuation infrastructure. Coordinate with local authorities and stakeholders to resolve land access issues. 6. Material Movement & Logistics Management: Plan procurement, logistics, and storage of solar panels, mounting structures, and electrical components. Ensure availability of materials as per the project timeline. 7. Pooling Substation & Power Evacuation: Oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of pooling substations and power evacuation systems . Ensure compliance with grid integration standards . 8. HSE Compliance & Quality Control: Implement Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) protocols and conduct safety audits. Perform quality checks to ensure adherence to industry and project standards. 9. Team & Stakeholder Management: Manage and allocate manpower , ensuring smooth coordination between site engineers, contractors, and vendors. Engage with government bodies, local authorities, and regulatory agencies for approvals and compliance. 10. Project Scheduling & Monitoring: Track project progress, manage resources, and address potential delays. Ensure timely execution and report project milestones to stakeholders.
