Job Title: Manager / Senior Manager โ€“ Learning & Development Location: Mumbai, India Industry: Pharmaceutical Role Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager / Senior Manager โ€“ Learning & Development (L&D) to join our team in capability-building, learning and talent initiatives. This role will play a vital part in enhancing employee development, building a future-ready talent pipeline, and supporting organizational growth through impactful L&D and talent strategies. Based in Mumbai and reporting to the Head of L&D, the ideal candidate will bring valuable experience in learning design and facilitation, talent processes, stakeholder management, and DEI initiatives, preferably with experience in the pharmaceutical sector. Key Responsibilities: Partner with business leaders to assess learning needs and co-create impactful learning and development strategies aligned with business objectives. Design, develop, and implement multi-channel learning programs that are aligned with functional and leadership requirements. Manage end-to-end execution of L&D initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and consistent delivery quality. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, leveraging data and insights to improve learning outcomes and demonstrate ROI. Promote a culture of continuous learning through innovative campaigns, digital content, experiential learning, and coaching. Lead the adoption, governance, and analytics of the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring robust learning data management. Develop high-quality learning campaigns and communications to maximize program reach and engagement. Collaborate with HRBPs and leaders to implement career development frameworks, IDPs, and internal mobility initiatives. Design and manage assessment and development centres to support high-potential identification, leadership readiness, and individual growth. Drive the talent management process, including talent reviews, succession planning, and leadership pipeline development. Improve the quality and diversity of talent in critical roles, in alignment with business and DEI goals. Drive Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, including the design and delivery of relevant training and awareness programs. Collaborate with HRBPs and leaders to implement career development frameworks, IDPs, and internal mobility initiatives. Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to ensure cross-functional alignment and effective implementation of initiatives. Manage external learning and assessment vendors, ensuring cost-effective and high-impact partnerships. Collaborate on broader organizational development (OD) projects as needed. Skills & Qualifications: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Learning & Development, Talent Management, Organizational Development, and DEI. Proven track record of designing and delivering high-impact learning interventions. Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills. Experience working on talent frameworks and implementing structured talent processes across the employee lifecycle. Hands-on experience with assessment and development centers, including design, facilitation, and feedback. Certification in relevant areas such as Training Delivery, Instructional Design, Psychometric Tools, Organizational Development, or DEI is preferred. Strong knowledge of learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and modern learning technologies. Strong stakeholder management capabilities, with an ability to collaborate across levels. Analytical mindset with experience in measuring training effectiveness and leveraging data for decision-making. Proven vendor management and project execution capabilities. Agile and adaptable in a dynamic business environment, with a results-driven approach. Willingness to travel across multiple locations for stakeholder engagement and program execution.
