Job Description – Engineer (Manufacturing Production Control)Job Title: Engineer – Manufacturing Production ControlDepartment: Manufacturing / Production Planning & Control (PPC)Location: HyderabadReports To: Manager – Production Planning & Control / Plant HeadEmployment Type: Full-timeJob PurposeTo plan, coordinate, monitor, and control all aspects of production in alignment with customer demand, production capabilities, and inventory requirements. This role ensures efficient production scheduling, material availability, and timely delivery while optimizing plant resources and supporting a high-growth manufacturing environment.Key Roles & Responsibilities· 1. Production Planning & Scheduling· Develop and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on demand forecasts, sales orders, and inventory levels.· Prepare and release detailed production schedules to shopfloor teams, ensuring adherence to delivery timelines.· Coordinate with SCM, stores, and procurement for raw material availability.· 2. Capacity & Resource Planning· Analyze manufacturing capacity against forecasted demand; identify bottlenecks and propose solutions.· Work with manufacturing engineering to optimize manpower and machine utilization.· Support decisions on overtime, shift planning, and load balancing.· 3. Material Control & Inventory Management· Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods to avoid shortages or overstocking.· Initiate material requisitions and follow-up on procurement or internal transfers to meet production needs.· Coordinate with warehouse and logistics for smooth dispatch planning.· 4. Shopfloor Coordination· Provide real-time support to production lines to resolve scheduling conflicts or material shortages.· Monitor progress against production plans, escalate delays, and re-plan when needed.· Ensure line clearances, WIP traceability, and adherence to work orders.· 5. ERP/MIS and Reporting· Use ERP/MRP tools to generate production orders, BOM validations, and tracking.· Maintain dashboards and KPIs related to production planning and control.· Prepare and present daily/weekly MIS reports for management review.· 6. Cross-functional Collaboration· Work closely with Design, QA, SCM, and NPI teams for product launches and engineering change implementations.· Participate in daily production meetings, highlighting plan vs actual and mitigating actions.· 7. Continuous Improvement· Identify and drive initiatives to reduce production lead times, minimize WIP, and improve delivery performance.· Implement lean principles such as Just-in-Time (JIT), Kanban, and Line Feeding strategies.· Participate in root cause analysis for any production disruption or delivery failure.Authorities· Release and amend production schedules in coordination with planning leadership.· Escalate and drive resolution of material shortages, quality holds, or capacity constraints.· Approve job card issuances and shopfloor work order closures within defined limits.· Trigger internal logistics actions for WIP or raw material movement.Key Requirements**Education:** B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Industrial Engineering or Production Engineering.**Experience:** 2–5 years of experience in production planning, shopfloor coordination, or manufacturing control in an electronics or smart metering industry.**Skills:**· Strong understanding of production planning concepts (MRP, MPS, load balancing, inventory control).· Proficient in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or any industry-specific ERP).· Good analytical and data interpretation skills.· Familiar with lean manufacturing and basic quality tools.· Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic, high-growth environment.KPIs / Success Metrics· On-time delivery performance (OTD)· Schedule adherence and plan accuracy· Inventory turnover ratio and WIP control· Downtime due to material or plan issues· Production throughput and efficiency How to apply, where:recruitment@iskraemeco.inSubject – Manufacturing Production Control_experience_name e.g. HW_7.5_nafisaSerious candidates may send a cover letter stating motivation to join Iskraemeco with a CV in PDF or word format.
