This includes driving farmer engagement, agronomy trials, training initiatives and collaboration with government departments to ensure strategic business growth. You will play a key role in shaping the region's agricultural landscape while ensuring operational excellence and sustainability. Key Responsibilities : - Drive area expansion under Oil Palm through farmer identification, land suitability assessments and contract farming in coordination with government departments - Provide leadership in research, training, and people development within the allotted region - Deliver agronomic and advisory services to ensure productive and sustainable Oil Palm plantations - Conduct agronomic feasibility studies, policy reviews, and trials to enhance agricultural practices - Guide farmers on irrigation, harvesting schedules and collection of Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFBs) - Liaise with the Department of Horticulture to ensure timely subsidy disbursements (plant material and fertiliser) - Develop and implement SOPs to maintain plantation standards and compliance - Maintain close relationships with Agriculture Universities, IOPR, and subject matter experts for continuous technical support - Train field staff and farmers to improve productivity and build local capabilities - Ensure timely reporting, documentation, and data-driven decision-making Who are we looking for? Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agricultural Science or a related field. Experience : 10-15 years of relevant experience in oil palm agronomy, agricultural advisory services, or plantation/nursery management Proven track record in managing large-scale agricultural projects and driving field-level execution Skills : Deep knowledge of oil palm cultivation and agronomy best practices Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills Proficient in data analysis; well-versed in Microsoft Excel Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and team leadership skills Comfortable with extensive travel across regions What's in it for you?
