Role & responsibilities Project Objective To conduct a detailed market study of alloy steel consumption patterns across Southern West Bengal and surrounding regions. The study should reveal: Specific alloy steel products in demand Key retailers, workshops, and industrial clients Manufacturers or stockists we can source from Ideal locations to set up a distribution base Responsibilities Identify and list industrial units and retail outlets using alloy steel products. Conduct field visits to small workshops, fabricators, engineering units, etc. Gather data on demand volumes, pricing, grades (EN-series), and client types. Map competition and current distribution networks in the region. Build a SKU list of fast-moving products for both industrial and retail supply. Present findings in the form of spreadsheets, maps, and executive summaries. Deliverables A verified list of buyers (retailers and industrial) with contact and category info. Product-wise demand analysis (rounds, flats, hex bars, tool steel, etc.). Sourcing opportunities from manufacturers or stockists. Visual mapping of potential target clusters (Haldia, Kharagpur, Tamluk, etc.). Recommendation on potential fabrication opportunities (value addition). Summary report (PDF or PPT) with actionable insights.
