Key Responsibilities: Design and Development: Design mechanical components and systems using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA). Create detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment and components. Develop and prototype innovative solutions to meet project requirements, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Testing and Analysis: Conduct tests and simulations to evaluate the performance, safety, and efficiency of mechanical designs. Perform engineering calculations, including stress analysis, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and finite element analysis (FEA) as required. Analyze test data and optimize designs based on performance results, making iterative improvements to enhance functionality. Project Management: Manage multiple engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, product managers, and manufacturing teams, to support integrated product development. Maintain documentation of design specifications, test results, and engineering processes for project tracking and quality control. Manufacturing Support: Work closely with manufacturing and production teams to ensure designs are feasible for mass production and meet quality standards. Develop and oversee testing protocols, manufacturing processes, and assembly procedures. Troubleshoot manufacturing or production issues related to mechanical design and recommend solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure designs meet safety, quality, and environmental standards by adhering to relevant codes and regulations (e.g., ASME, ISO, ASTM). Conduct failure analysis and root cause analysis to identify potential risks and mitigate design weaknesses. Participate in quality control and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability and durability. Innovation and Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest advancements in mechanical engineering, materials, and manufacturing technologies. Experiment with new materials, technologies, and processes to bring innovative solutions to the engineering team.
