Responsibilities: Design and Development: Create and modify mechanical designs using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor). Develop detailed drawings, specifications, and bills of materials (BOMs). Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate design options. Design mechanical systems, components, and products for various applications. Analysis and Testing: Perform stress, thermal, and fluid flow analysis using simulation software (e.g., ANSYS, MATLAB). Develop and execute test plans to validate designs. Analyze test data and identify areas for improvement. Troubleshoot mechanical problems and implement solutions. Manufacturing Support: Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are manufacturable. Develop and optimize manufacturing processes. Provide technical support during production. Ensure quality control and adherence to standards. Project Management: Manage project timelines and budgets. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality. Prepare project reports and presentations. Document design changes and maintain project records. Research and Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends. Conduct research to improve existing products and develop new ones. Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement initiatives. Material selection. Documentation: Create and maintain accurate engineering documentation. Write technical reports, manuals, and specifications. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
