Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Medical Coding Analyst to join our RCM team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately assigning medical codes based on clinical documentation to ensure correct billing and compliance with industry regulations. This role requires a solid understanding of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems, along with a commitment to maintaining data integrity and confidentiality. Key Responsibilities: Review medical records and clinical documentation to assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes. Understand E&M, Surgery and procedure coding for IN/OUT patient practices E&M, Out/InPatient coding, Urgent Care, Interventional Cardiology. Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with applicable guidelines, payer policies, and federal regulations. Collaborate with physicians, billing teams, and auditors to clarify information and ensure coding accuracy. Meet or exceed daily/weekly productivity and quality targets set by the organization. Identify and report coding issues, trends, and potential compliance risks. Stay updated with changes in coding guidelines and healthcare regulations. Participate in audits and implement corrective actions when required. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Qualifications: Must have graduation (fields like Life Sciences, Allied Health, or any related field.) Good to have Certified Professional Coder (CPC) preferred. Minimum of 1–3 years of hands-on medical coding experience. Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. Familiarity with healthcare reimbursement systems and payer rules. Proficient in using coding software and MS Office tools. Skills Required: Accuracy and attention to detail Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Effective communication and teamwork abilities Ability to work independently and under pressure Knowledge of HIPAA and other healthcare compliance standards.
