Job Title: Medicine Rack Organizer & Picker Company: GSA Surgical & Medicines Pvt. Ltd. Location: Kolkata, West Bengal Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary: GSA Surgical & Medicines Pvt. Ltd., a leading wholesale distributor of pharmaceuticals, is hiring Medicine Rack Organizers & Pickers to efficiently manage medicine storage, sorting, and supply operations. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of medicine compositions, be able to read and interpret invoices, and ensure accurate picking and supply of medicines to the sales counter. Key Responsibilities: 1. Medicine Rack Management: Arrange medicines systematically in racks based on category, composition, and batch. Regularly check and organize stock to prevent misplacement or expiry. Ensure proper labeling and stock rotation (FIFO & LIFO methods). 2. Picking & Supply of Medicines: Read and interpret sales and purchase invoices to pick the correct medicines. Identify medicine compositions and brand names accurately while picking. Supply the picked medicines to the sales counter in a timely and accurate manner. 3. Prescription Reading & Dispensing Assistance: Read medical prescriptions carefully and pick the correct medicines. Assist in verifying prescriptions with the sales counter before supplying. 4. Stock Checking & Inventory Support: Assist in stock counting, expiry checks, and maintaining accurate inventory records. Report any stock shortages, damages, or discrepancies to the supervisor. 5. Coordination & Compliance: Work closely with sales and purchase teams to ensure smooth order processing. Follow safety, hygiene, and regulatory guidelines while handling medicines. Requirements: Basic education (10th/12th pass); prior experience in medicine handling is a plus. Knowledge of medicine compositions and ability to recognize brands. Ability to read invoices, prescriptions, and medicine labels accurately. Physically fit to handle stock movement and medicine sorting. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
