Mep Engineer

Job Description

Role & responsibilities Design & Planning: Develop detailed designs, cost estimates, and specifications for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and fire alarm systems. Coordination & Supervision: Collaborate with architects, contractors, and consultants to integrate MEP systems into building designs and monitor on-site installation. System Integration & Optimization: Ensure seamless functioning of MEP systems with a focus on energy efficiency, sustainability, and cost control. Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to all relevant building codes, safety standards, and statutory requirements. Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide technical inputs during construction, resolve MEP-related issues, and support inspections and quality checks. Project Management: Assist in managing project budgets, schedules, and team coordination across MEP disciplines. Testing & Commissioning: Conduct functional testing and commissioning of systems to ensure operational efficiency and quality standards. Reporting & Communication: Prepare progress reports, present technical updates to stakeholders, and document system performance. Desired Candidate Profile: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent Proven experience in MEP design, execution, and coordination Strong knowledge of MEP codes, standards, and sustainability practices Excellent project management and communication skills Ability to handle multiple projects and coordinate with cross-functional teams
