Role & responsibilities Manage to oversee the work of subordinate staff, PMC engineer, MEP Contractors (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Firefighting, DG, FA, PA, CCTV, IBMS, Earthing, LPS, vertical transportation systems, STP, WTP, Garbage disposals. Analyse Electrical, Mechanical and Plumbing engineering problems and formulate solutions. Monitoring project activity cost estimates and ensure that the right specification in line with approved designs is available at the project site. Review contractors shop drawing in conjunction with the Architectural, Structural drawings and MEP drawings to ensure engineering coordination and advise the Project / Design head accordingly. Advice on all issues regarding IGBC green building requirement and ensure that the Appropriate documentation and information is provided to the proper authorities to obtain the IGBC standard required on the project. Where required, prepare technical clarifications to the tendered design to suit specific on-site construction and coordination issues. Be available to undertake off-site inspections of proposed equipment and materials as may be deemed necessary. Undertake final project snagging and prepare a list of defects for the Contractors action. Review and inspection / checking of all measurement and bills submitted by MEP contractors Review and comment on the Contractors Operation and Maintenance manuals. Performing risk and value management and cost control functions. Scheduling of design reviews at all gateways and control points. Overseeing the billing, BOQ, and design. Being able to conclude with consultant drawings and designs as per DBR. Review drawings for compliance with the design. Undertake general project site observation/inspection work of the Contractors. Ensure testing, air conditioning duct leakage testing, and other testing that may be required. Attend project, site progress, and any mechanical services-related technical meetings as directed by the MEP/ Head Project Manager.
