Job Description

Job Title: Garment Merchandiser Location: Sachin, Surat Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Garment Merchandiser to oversee the end-to-end process of garment production, from development to delivery. The ideal candidate will coordinate between buyers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure that products meet quality standards, are delivered on time, and align with the buyer's requirements and company objectives. Key Responsibilities: Act as the main point of contact between buyers and production teams. Understand buyer requirements and translate them into actionable production plans. Source and develop fabrics, trims, and accessories as per buyer specifications. Coordinate sample development, approvals, and bulk production. Manage time and action (TNA) calendars to ensure on-time delivery. Follow up on production status and ensure quality checks are carried out at each stage. Handle cost negotiations and price finalization with suppliers. Work closely with design, quality assurance, and production departments. Monitor and manage inventory levels, order status, and shipping schedules. Prepare and maintain reports on merchandising activities and order tracking. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Engineering, or related field. 3–5 years of experience in garment merchandising (knit, woven, or denim). Strong knowledge of textile fabrics, garment construction, and production processes. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines. Knowledge of export documentation and compliance is a plus.
