Job Description

The role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing the MES system to ensure smooth operations, minimize downtime, and enhance production efficiency. This position requires a proactive approach to system monitoring, issue resolution, and user support, ensuring seamless MES functionality in a manufacturing environment. Understanding of Electronic Manufacturing Processes: Familiarity with the specific processes, standards, and regulations in electronic manufacturing, such as PCB assembly, SMT (Surface Mount Technology), and quality control. Key Responsibilities: 1. MES System Maintenance & Support Provide onsite Level 1 & Level 2 support for the MES system. Monitor system performance and resolve operational issues promptly. Work closely with production teams to ensure smooth MES operations. Escalate unresolved technical issues to the development or vendor support team. 2. Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution Identify and analyze hardware/software issues, database errors, and integration failures. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. Support data synchronization between MES, ERP (SAP, Oracle, etc.), and shopfloor devices. Ensure production traceability and data integrity. 3. User Training & Documentation Train shopfloor operators, engineers, and plant managers on MES functionalities. Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles. Conduct periodic refresher training and workshops for users. 4. Continuous Improvement & Optimization Work with production and IT teams to identify process improvements. Implement MES enhancements and fine-tune system configurations. Ensure system upgrades and patches are applied without disrupting operations. Monitor data accuracy and suggest ways to optimize production workflows. 5. Compliance & Reporting Ensure MES system compliance with industry standards and client policies. Generate performance reports and analyze production efficiency metrics. Maintain logs of system issues, resolutions, and improvement recommendations. Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience: 1+ years of experience in MES maintenance, troubleshooting, and user support. Deep understanding of MES software functionalities and how they integrate with other enterprise systems like ERP (SAP) . Proficiency in analyzing production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with shopfloor and IT teams. Providing training to client staff and ensuring they are comfortable with the new systems and processes. Staying updated with the latest trends and advancements in MES and electronic manufacturing technologies. Ability to handle pressure and resolve issues in a fast-paced production environment. Willingness to work in rotational shifts (if required) and support 24/7 operations.
