MS SQL DBA CONSULTANT

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced MS SQL DBA Consultant to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and optimizing SQL Server databases, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. You will work closely with development and operations teams to support database solutions and drive improvements. Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain SQL Server databases Monitor and optimize database performance Ensure data security and integrity Perform regular backups and disaster recovery operations Implement database storage strategies Assist in database migrations and upgrades Develop and maintain database documentation and standards Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner Collaborate with development teams to support application development and deployment Diagnosing a slow application after a database migration Reducing IO bottlenecks for a large OLTP system Tuning nightly batch jobs to complete within maintenance windows Optimizing stored procedures used in a high-frequency API Reviewing SQL Server health and providing recommendations Skills and Qualifications 10-15 years of experience in MS SQL Server Database Administration Strong knowledge of T-SQL, indexing, and query optimization Experience with backup and recovery strategies Familiarity with database security practices Proficiency in performance tuning and monitoring tools Knowledge of SQL Server High Availability and Disaster Recovery options Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Show more Show less
