Nalanda Vidyaniketan is seeking a creative, committed, and versatile Music Teacher to guide students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 in vocal and instrumental music. The ideal candidate is passionate about fostering artistic expression and musical appreciation across all age groups under the CBSE curriculum. Job Summary The Music Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality music education through structured lessons, hands-on practice, and performance opportunities. They will introduce students to a wide spectrum of musical genres, instruments, and theory, encouraging creativity and self-expression. Key Responsibilities 🎼 Teaching & Curriculum Deliver structured music lessons for students from K–12 in alignment with CBSE standards Teach both vocal and instrumental music, including Indian and Western forms Design and update the school’s music curriculum across grade levels Introduce basic music theory, composition, rhythm, and notation 🎹 Skill Development Encourage student participation in individual and group performances Identify and nurture musical talent through focused mentoring Prepare students for school-level, zonal, and national competitions 🎤 Event & Performance Coordination Organize school assemblies, cultural programs, and annual day performances Direct student choirs, bands, or orchestras for events and celebrations Collaborate with other faculty to integrate music into cross-disciplinary projects 🛡️ Classroom Management & Safety Ensure a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment Maintain and care for musical instruments and equipment Uphold discipline, respect, and team spirit among students 🤝 Communication & Reporting Maintain regular communication with parents about student progress Participate in staff meetings and school committees Submit term reports and assist in performance evaluations Qualifications & Skills ✅ Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Music, Performing Arts, or equivalent ✅ Prior experience teaching music in CBSE schools (K–12) preferred ✅ Skilled in vocal music and at least one instrument (keyboard, guitar, tabla, etc.) ✅ Knowledge of music theory, both Indian and Western ✅ Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills ✅ Enthusiastic, patient, and student-centered approach 📢 Reporting to: Academic Coordinator / Principal, Nalanda Vidyaniketan Help us nurture a school culture filled with rhythm, harmony, and creativity.
