School : OWIS Campus : Sarjapur Country : India Qualification : BA+MA OverView : An MYP/IBDP Visual Arts Teacher in an IB school fosters creativity, critical thinking, and artistic expression through an inquiry-based approach. They guide students in exploring various artistic techniques, media, and cultural perspectives while encouraging conceptual understanding and personal voice. Additionally, they support students in developing portfolios, curate exhibitions, and integrate interdisciplinary connections to enhance their artistic and global awareness. Responsibility : Curriculum Implementation: Design and deliver engaging, inquiry-based Visual Arts lessons aligned with the MYP and IBDP frameworks. Skill Development: Guide students in exploring various artistic techniques, mediums, and creative processes to enhance their artistic expression. Conceptual Understanding: Encourage students to develop critical thinking, personal voice, and cultural awareness through visual storytelling and artistic interpretation. Assessment & Feedback: Evaluate student work based on IB assessment criteria, provide constructive feedback, and support portfolio development. Exhibitions & Showcases: Organize student art exhibitions, fostering confidence and real-world artistic engagement. Collaboration & Interdisciplinary Learning: Work with colleagues to integrate visual arts with other subjects, enhancing cross-disciplinary understanding. Professional Development: Stay updated with IB best practices and participate in ongoing training to enhance teaching methodologies.
