Job Summary:We are looking for CNC Machinist VTL Operator to be responsible for operating and monitoring CNC Vertical Turning machines and perform precision machining on complex large parts.Duties and Responsibilities:Familiar with general VTL operation and mechanical skillsFamiliar with checking, setting up programs and measuring tool offsetsMachine parts to hold tolerances per drawing specificationsKnowledge of verifying dimensions using gauges, micrometers, calipers, and various measuring devicesFamiliar with working on VTLs such as Mazak and Fanuc Controlled Machining CentersResponsible for reporting malfunctions, replacing worn tools, and cleaning debris from machineFamiliar with operating lifting devices for movement of materials and other equipment as neededExperience working in AS9100 and ISO9000 environment a plusMaintain cleanliness of work areaRequirements:Position requires the applicant be a US Person or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder)Ability to read and understand drawingsAbility to operate measuring instruments and operate Mazak or FANUC controlsComfort with working with close tolerancesAt least 1 year of experience as a machine operator is preferredKnowledge of GD&T preferredAbility to follow instructions and drawings with minimal supervisionAbility to follow proper safety protocolsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs
