About The role The Principal PCB Design Engineer or PCB Layout Engineer will lead the layout design for our diverse global portfolio of medical devices. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement multiple subsystems, overseeing every stage of PCB design, fabrication, assembly, and testing. Your deep technical expertise and strategic insight will drive innovation and ensure the highest quality standards in our products. Essential duties and responsibilities of the position include PCB Design and Layout Development: o Create PCB component footprints compliant with IEC 60601-1, IPC-A-600, and relevant datasheets. o Develop multi-layer stack-ups (ranging from 4 to 16 layers), define board outlines, and set keepout areas. o Implement signal topology strategies, ensuring proper routing of differential pairs and controlled impedance lines with tight length matching. Documentation and Quality Assurance: o Produce detailed schematics, design documentation, fabrication drawings, and assembly specifications. o Prepare and release complete PCB design packages (including Gerber that meet rigorous quality and regulatory standards. o Oversee subsystem-level design verification, including EMC and acceptance testing.
