Network Engineer - Juniper L2/L3

Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and motivated Network Engineer (L2 & L3) with hands-on experience in Juniper switching and routing as well as firewall administration and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining, monitoring, and optimizing our network infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance. Key Responsibilities: Level 2 Responsibilities: -Provide support for day-to-day network incidents and service requests. -Perform basic configuration and troubleshooting of Juniper switches and routers. -Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues. -Coordinate with vendors and service providers for circuit and hardware issues. -Maintain up-to-date documentation of network topology and configurations. -Assist in implementation of small to medium changes in the network environment. -Execute routine firewall policy changes and support access control rules. Level 3 Responsibilities: -Design and implement advanced network solutions and changes. -Perform in-depth analysis of complex network issues and provide root cause analysis. -Optimize routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, etc.) and implement redundancy and failover. -Lead network upgrade/migration projects and implement automation wherever possible. -Manage and maintain enterprise-level firewalls Juniper SRX. -Ensure network security and compliance with company policies and industry standards. -Mentor and support L1/L2 engineers as needed. Required Skills & Qualifications: -Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. -38 years of experience in enterprise network support and administration. -Strong hands-on experience with Juniper EX/QFX switches and MX/SRX routers. -Proficiency in routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and MPLS. -Experience with firewall technologies Juniper SRX, Palo Alto, Fortinet or similar. -Solid understanding of VLANs, VPNs, NAT, ACLs, and network segmentation. -Familiar with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark). -Juniper certifications (JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP) preferred.
