Job Summary: We seek a Junior Network Engineer to support and maintain our network and systems infrastructure, including switches, routers, servers, and colocation network environments. This individual will play a key supporting role in ensuring reliable and low-latency connectivity crucial for trading operations. Key Responsibilities: •⁠ ⁠Assist in configuring, managing, and optimizing switches, routers, servers, and related network devices. •⁠ ⁠Support the monitoring of exchange connectivity and trading routes, ensuring minimal latency and maximum uptime. •⁠ ⁠Help manage colocation environments to maintain performance, reliability, and availability. •⁠ ⁠Monitor network performance and assist in resolving issues promptly to maintain operational efficiency. •⁠ ⁠Support infrastructure upgrades and maintenance activities. •⁠ ⁠Implement and follow security best practices across infrastructure. •⁠ ⁠Collaborate with senior engineers, trading, and technology teams to support business requirements. •⁠ ⁠Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of network and system configurations. Qualifications: •⁠ ⁠Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. •⁠ ⁠3-6 years of relevant network engineering experience, ideally within financial trading or similar technology-focused firms. •⁠ ⁠Basic experience with network equipment (Cisco, Arista, Juniper) and knowledge of routing protocols. •⁠ ⁠Experience or familiarity with Linux/Unix server environments. •⁠ ⁠Knowledge or interest in low-latency networks and trading connectivity preferred. •⁠ ⁠Experience or interest in colocation and network performance tuning. •⁠ ⁠Familiarity with AWS or cloud infrastructure a plus. •⁠ ⁠Certifications like CCNA, AWS Cloud Practitioner advantageous but not mandatory. •⁠ ⁠Good analytical and problem-solving skills. •⁠ ⁠Effective communication and teamwork capabilities.
