Job Title: Network Security Engineer L2 Experience: 4+ Years Mode of Hire : Fulltime Responsibilities: Minimum experience of 4+ years with good expertise on Routing, Switching, Firewalls. Should have good communication skills Strong understanding of Networking & Cloud basics Good understanding & experience in configuring static routes, IP protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF and BGP etc. Good experience in Switching concepts and protocols Good understanding of ACLs, NAT, HA, Redundancy groups, UTM etc. Experience on multi-vendor Firewall products such as Cisco, Fortinet is desirable. Should have good troubleshooting skills & Data center experience. Experience on any Load Balancer and Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure can be an added advantage. Certifications such as CCNA is preferred (but not mandatory) Investigate and resolve Level 2 security incidents, escalating to Level 3 as needed. Perform regular vulnerability scans, analyze results, and coordinate remediation activities. Support and maintain endpoint security solutions, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and other security tools. Apply security patches and updates to servers, applications, and devices in coordination with the Patch Management process. Conduct security reviews of systems, configurations, and applications to identify potential risks. Assist in implementing and enforcing access control and least privilege principles. Support backup and disaster recovery testing to ensure data integrity and availability. Strong knowledge of security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, firewalls, endpoint protection). Experience with Windows and Linux server environments, virtualization, and cloud platforms. Familiarity with patch management, identity and access management (IAM), and network security. Hands-on experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python). Certifications (Preferred) :CompTIA Security+, CEH, or equivalent. Vendor-specific certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, AWS Security). Required Experience: Possess strong verbal communication, writing and interpersonal skills along with the ability to form strong cross-functional relationships Strong attention to detail while juggling multiple priorities Possess cross cultural awareness, a good sense of humor and high emotional intelligence Be self-motivated and have a strong work ethic and sense of confidentiality
