Role & responsibilities As the NPI Product Lead, you will be responsible for leading the successful introduction of new products into the market. You will oversee the entire NPI process from concept development to commercialization, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and customer requirements. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and leadership capabilities. Travel/Territory: (25-50%)/ PAN India Key Responsibilities: New Product Introduction Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute the strategy for new product introductions, including defining product requirements, target markets, and competitive positioning. Conduct market research, customer needs analysis, and feasibility studies to assess the viability and potential of new product concepts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, engineering, marketing, sales, operations) to create comprehensive NPI plans and timelines. Project Management and Execution: Lead cross-functional teams throughout the NPI lifecycle, ensuring adherence to project milestones, timelines, and budget constraints. Develop and manage detailed project plans, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies to ensure successful product launches. Coordinate prototype development, testing, and validation processes to meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact and advocate for NPI initiatives within the organization, fostering collaboration and alignment across departments. Communicate project status updates, key milestones, and potential risks to senior management and stakeholders. Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, suppliers, and vendors to support NPI activities and enhance product development capabilities. Continuous Improvement and Quality Assurance: Conduct post-launch reviews and analysis to evaluate product performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and customer satisfaction metrics. Implement feedback loops and continuous improvement processes to enhance product quality, reliability, and customer experience. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, industry best practices, and internal quality management systems throughout the NPI process. Preferred candidate profile 5 to 7 years of proven experience in product management, new product introduction, or a related role, preferably within Supply Chain Traceability, Track and Trace, or Connected Logistics domains. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on innovative solutions for complex challenges. Strong strategic thinking and the ability to make well-informed decisions that align with organizational goals. Demonstrated success in developing, launching, and scaling products or solutions, particularly in Track and Trace systems (e.g., SAP ATTP, Warehouse Management Solutions). Proven ability to influence, negotiate, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels, including cross-functional teams and external partners. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on fostering strong relationships and aligning diverse teams. Hands-on experience with tools and solutions in Connected Logistics and Track and Trace, ensuring operational excellence and seamless traceability.
