Role Description Consulting with patients and other healthcare providers to determine the most appropriate nuclear medicine procedure for diagnosis or treatment. Administering radiopharmaceuticals to patients to create images of the body’s organs or to treat certain diseases. Interpreting the results of nuclear medicine scans and tests. Evaluating patient medical histories and current health statuses. Performing and interpreting diagnostic tests. Prescribing radiopharmaceuticals for treatment and diagnostic purposes. Monitoring patients during procedures and recovery. Providing patient care before, during, and after procedures. Providing follow-up care and monitoring the patient’s response to treatment. Adhering to radiation safety measures to protect patients, staff, and the public. Conducting research to develop new nuclear medicine techniques and procedures. Keeping abreast of advancements in nuclear medicine and incorporating them into clinical practice. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to discuss diagnoses and treatment plans. Keeping up to date with advancements in the field of nuclear medicine. Ensuring radiological procedures meet industry standards and regulations. Conducting research in the field of nuclear medicine. Educating patients and their families about nuclear medicine procedures and answering any questions or concerns they may have. Ordering and maintaining supplies and equipment for nuclear medicine procedures. Qualifications Expertise in Nuclear Medicine and familiarity with diagnostic procedures Experience working within Cardiology and Emergency Medicine contexts Strong proficiency in collaborating with Physicians and Medical Teams Capability in training and mentoring medical staff Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Advanced certifications in Nuclear Medicine and relevant board certifications are preferred Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with specialization in Nuclear Medicine Show more Show less
