Key Responsibilities: Patient Care: Ensuring the safe and effective delivery of nursing care to patients, including monitoring and evaluating care plans, and addressing patient concerns. Staff Management: Overseeing nursing staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations. Policy and Procedure Development: Formulating and implementing nursing policies and procedures to ensure quality and compliance. Quality Assurance: Implementing and monitoring quality assurance programs to maintain high standards of care and ensure compliance with regulations. Budget Management: Developing and managing the nursing department budget. Resource Management: Ensuring the availability of necessary supplies and resources for effective nursing care. Communication and Collaboration: Acting as a liaison between the nursing department and other departments within the hospital, as well as with external organizations. Staff Development: Implementing training programs and providing guidance and support to nursing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge. Patient Safety: Ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff, including implementing safety protocols and addressing safety concerns. Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including those related to patient care, infection control, and quality assurance. Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate and comprehensive patient and nursing records.
