Check suppliers' invoices/ credit notes details on Procurement system before posting to accounting system. Prepare journals for accrual for crew wages, victualling, accrual, and prepayment for insurance, and lubricating oil of ROB, and any other journals. Also ensure that reversal journals are raised where applicable. Check and verify portage bills (payroll onboard vessel) raise journals. Ensure reversal of accrual of crew wages isdone when actual portage bills are posted to the ledger. Reconcile with Master cash onboard, provisions, slop chest, and chat card inventory as per portage bill against balance in general ledger. Check and verify manning agent statement of account. Check and ensure all vouchers in the "List of Not Updated Vouchers" are accurately updated in the Accounting System before proceeding to close prepare monthly closing. Compile and prepare Monthly Accounting Reports to Shipowners, including submissions of softcopies via email, register and upload into Shipowner's accounting portal and sending hardcopy reports in accordance with shipowners requirements. Reconcile salary payment account, follow up with Manning Department and/ or Agent if any discrepancies, raise necessary adjustment journals. Periodical Reconciliation of balance sheet balances.
