Job Description Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Operations Engineer to join our Infrastructure & Platform Services team. The ideal candidate will have a broad technical background and experience managing enterprise-level infrastructure across multiple domains, including Databases, Middleware, Network, End User Computing (EUC), and Compute platforms. This role requires hands-on operational expertise, strong troubleshooting capabilities, and a proactive approach to maintaining and optimizing IT systems. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day operations and provide support across core infrastructure domains: Databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL/PostgreSQL) Middleware platforms (e.g., WebLogic, WebSphere, Tomcat, JBoss) Network systems (routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers) EUC devices (Windows/Mac OS, Citrix, MDM tools) Compute resources (VMware, Hyper-V, AWS, Azure) Monitor system performance, ensure high availability, and respond to incidents to minimize downtime and service disruptions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement infrastructure upgrades, changes, and automation to enhance operational efficiency. Maintain and enforce configuration standards, security policies, and regular patching across infrastructure components. Provide technical support for disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution. Document technical procedures, configurations, and system changes for operational transparency and knowledge retention. Participate in on-call rotation and conduct root cause analysis for high-impact incidents. Demonstrate strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills across various IT infrastructure layers. Utilize ITSM tools for incident, change, and problem management processes. Apply scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python) to automate routine operational tasks. Use monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds) to proactively detect and resolve issues. Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and work collaboratively within global or cross-functional teams.
