Role & responsibilities Payroll Operations Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for multiple countries including India, China, UK, Europe, Middle East, and South America . Manage regular, off-cycle, and year-end payroll activities ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Ensure precise calculations of salaries, bonuses, commissions, overtime, reimbursements, and statutory deductions such as: India : PF, ESI, TDS China : Social insurance, Housing fund, IIT UK/Europe : PAYE, National Insurance, Pension schemes Middle East : End of Service Benefits (EOSB), WPS compliance South America : Country-specific labor taxes and benefits Maintain comprehensive payroll records, audit logs , and regularly update employee data in payroll systems. Compliance and Audit Ensure full compliance with local labor laws, tax codes, and statutory payroll regulations across all regions. Collaborate with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities during audits, assessments, and inspections. Develop and implement internal controls , risk management, and fraud-prevention protocols for payroll operations. Reporting and Analytics Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports for HR and Finance. Provide key analytics such as headcount trends, payroll cost breakdowns, statutory filings , and payroll tax reconciliations . Support forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis to aid business and financial planning. Systems and Process Management Oversee payroll system configurations, including integrations with HRIS and ERP systems . Evaluate and implement payroll software appropriate for each region. Drive process standardization, automation initiatives , and payroll best practices globally. Employee Support and Communication Act as the primary point of contact for employee payroll-related inquiries across regions. Develop and conduct payroll onboarding sessions, training, and communication to educate staff on relevant policies and procedures. Ensure service delivery meets SLAs, employee satisfaction , and regulatory expectations. Preferred candidate profile Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, or a related field; MBA in HRM is preferred . 57 years of payroll management experience , ideally in a multinational manufacturing setup. Strong knowledge of statutory payroll compliance across multiple geographies. Proficient in payroll systems , Excel , and reporting tools . Strong data analytics skills.
