Job Title: Payroll & HR Operations Specialist Location: Bangalore Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Payroll & HR Operations Specialist to manage payroll administration and HR operations across APAC (Singapore, Indonesia, China, South Korea, Philippines, Australia) or East Africa (Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya). The role requires strong payroll processing expertise, compliance knowledge, and HR operational support experience. Key Responsibilities & Tasks Payroll Management (60%) Independently lead and execute payroll administration, including preparing monthly payroll reconciliations and reviewing payroll reports for accuracy. Conduct payroll audits to ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations. Resolve complex payroll issues and employee queries to ensure seamless payroll processing. Continuously review and update payroll process documents. Support payroll audits and year-end processes in each country. Identify and implement payroll process improvements. Maintain sound knowledge of international benefits and their impact on payroll. HR Operations (40%) Onboarding & Employee Documentation: Verify, manage, and store onboarding documents, ensuring accurate employee records in the HR system. Background Verifications: Manage the background verification process for new hires to facilitate smooth onboarding. HR Compliance & Audits: Support internal and external audits by ensuring adherence to HR policies and regional laws. HR Letters & Documentation: Draft and issue key HR documents, including employment confirmation letters, salary adjustments, and other official communications. Insurance Support: Collaborate with the insurance team to address employee queries and assist in processing insurance claims. Skills & Experience Required: Educational Background: Masters degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. HR Operations Experience: 6-9 years of experience in payroll administration, onboarding, and HR compliance, preferably across APAC and East Africa regions. Payroll & Compliance Expertise: Strong knowledge of payroll processing, regional tax regulations, and labor laws. Audit & Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with conducting/supporting HR audits and ensuring adherence to employment laws. Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with HR systems and payroll tools. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with diverse teams.
