The role requires an experienced leader with a strong background in purchasing, materials management, and commercial negotiations within the steel industry.Key Responsibilities:Oversee and manage the entire procurement and commercial operations of the company.Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to optimize costs and ensure uninterrupted supply of raw materials and other essentials.Lead contract negotiations, vendor development, and supplier relationship management.Ensure procurement processes align with industry best practices, cost efficiency, and compliance standards.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, finance, and logistics to streamline supply chain operations.Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor strategies, and pricing fluctuations in raw materials.Drive cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality and reliability in supply chain management.Develop and implement policies and procedures for commercial operations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.Lead a team of commercial professionals, fostering a culture of performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies in all procurement and commercial activities.Key Requirements:Educational Qualification: B.E./B.Tech from NIT, with an MBA in Materials Management.Industry Experience: Steel industry experience is mandatory.
