Job Description

As a Performance Lead/Performance Test Architect, you will oversee creating, executing, and managing performance testing methodologies and frameworks to assess software systems performance, scalability, and dependability. You will work with cross-functional teams to establish performance requirements, create test plans, carry out tests, analyze findings, and make recommendations for performance improvement. Responsibilities: Create and implement performance testing techniques, procedures, and frameworks that are adapted to unique project needs. Collaborate with stakeholders to define performance requirements, objectives, and success cri-teria for software systems. Develop comprehensive performance test plans that include test scenarios, workload models, test data, and environment configurations. Set up and maintain performance testing tools and infrastructure to emulate realistic user inter-actions and workload circumstances. Conduct performance tests, monitor system performance data, and analyse test findings to discover bottlenecks, performance issues, and opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with development teams to resolve performance issues, optimise code, and imple-ment performance enhancements. Develop and maintain performance testing best practices, standards, and guidelines for continu-ous improvement. Mentor and guide performance test engineers and other team members on performance testing techniques, tools, and methodologies. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in performance testing and optimisation. Understand how our customers use the applications and what performance expectations they have. Understand customer baseline SLA s. Understand key contributors to poor performance and, with architects and development manag-ers, define a strategy to address necessary weaknesses. Experiences and Skills Masters degree/Bachelor s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience (12-14 years) as a Performance Test or similar role in performance testing and optimisation of complex software systems. Strong understanding of performance testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices. Proficiency in performance testing tools such as JMeter, Blaze meter, Load runner or similar. Experience with monitoring tools like New Relic for performance analysis or similar. Hands-on experience with performance tuning, profiling, and optimisation of web applications, APIs, databases, and distributed systems. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple pri-orities.
