PHP Team Lead

Job Description

Client is hiring for PHP Team Lead with 6-8 years of hands-on experience in PHP development. The ideal candidate will have expertise in PHP, CodeIgniter, and MySQL database development, along with a proven track record of handling end-to-end software development projects. This role requires strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills. The PHP Team Lead will work on cutting-edge projects, mentor junior team members, and ensure timely delivery while adhering to industry best practices. This is a full-time position based in Chandigarh. Key Responsibilities Develop PHP-based web applications and maintain existing applications with enhancements and fixes. Write clean, portable, and well-documented code for back-end web applications. Integrate static HTML/CSS front-end code into custom PHP websites and web applications. Perform complex MySQL database development and optimization. Coordinate with internal and external teams to resolve issues and clarify requirements. Work in agile sprints and mentor junior team members. Perform code reviews to maintain adherence to coding standards and best practices. Provide technical support for database-related production issues post-deployment. Collaborate with web designers, business analysts, and project managers to align on business requirements and system design. Utilize tools like Git, SVN, and Bitbucket for version control and build management. Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills: Core PHP, CodeIgniter (MVC), OOPS, MySQL, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery. Strong hands-on experience with GIT, SVN, Bitbucket, and cloud tools. Knowledge of AWS, GCP, or cPanel is a plus. Proficiency in XML, Web Services, REST APIs, Apache, Nginx, and Ubuntu operating systems. Experience with third-party APIs (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.). Familiarity with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Magento, Joomla. Understanding of optimization techniques and cache mechanisms (e.g., Memcache, Redis). Experience in e-commerce, Moodle, or Magento frameworks is a plus. Strong problem-solving, leadership, and organizational skills. Eligibility A Bachelor s degree (BE/BTech-CSE, MCA, or equivalent) with a consistent first-division academic record. 6-8 years of professional experience in PHP , CodeIgniter , and MySQL development.
